Indiana Family Solutions offers a wide range of services for children and adults. Our programs are designed to strengthen families, heal children who’ve been abused or suffered other trauma, help divorced parents meet their children’s needs, bring recovery to those struggling with mental illness or addiction and restore children’s well-being.
Father Engagement
Father engagement specialists (FES)
work one-on-one with dads involved
in the child welfare system. They are
a resource for dads who want to play
a positive role in the lives of their
children. Their work picks up where
the former DADS program left off.
Father engagement specialists are
also committed to listening and using their knowledge to guide dads to meet their goals
Tutoring
Tutoring is provided to raise the academic performance of school aged youth to a level consistent with the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) Academic standards. Services shall be provided in a manner that is age and developmentally appropriate, and consistent with the child’s academic and learning style, interpersonal characteristics, and special needs. Services are provided at school including collaborate with teachers on tasks, at the home, or community.
Parent Education
Parent education programs focus on enhancing parenting practices and behaviors, such as developing and practicing positive discipline techniques, learning age-appropriate child development skills and milestones, promoting positive play and interaction between parents and children, and locating and accessing community services and supports.
